Kuzmicki finishing 24th in slalom and 25th in giant slalom combined with her 11th place in the State Super G last month managed to score enough points to qualify for one of the 11 spots on the VT State Finals Team.
Other State teams from Virginia to Maine will travel to Killington on March 8-11 and join Vermont's team for the USSA J3 Eastern Regional Finals. These 160 athletes will battle for the last 10 openings on the USSA J3 Eastern Junior Olympic Team. There will be 5 female and 5 male spots awarded to individuals based on results.
Although the stakes are high and the odds even higher, Ms. Kuzmicki remains determined to race on to the season's final finish line.
